Thai
So I'm working in a new part of town and my coworkers were raving about this little Thai hole in the wall. We went for my "welcome" lunch, and it was actually really good. I'm not a professional Thai eater, but I tried a couple of different things and they were great. The Pad Broccoli was awesome as was the Pad Thai. They ask what level of spicy you want (from 1 to 5) but I'm pretty sure 2 - 4 are all the same or either they don't really listen to what you ask. I ordered 2 and my lips were on fire. Meanwhile someone else ordered 3 and said it wasn't quite hot enough so either they got ours mixed up or they are about the same amount of heat. There aren't a ton of dishes, maybe 15 or so but everyone was raving about what they ordered. Someone else paid but it looked like most dishes were between $8 - $10 on the lunch menu. My only issue is the diet coke was from a can...bummer. At least it wasn't pepsi I guess.
Normally this is my Charlotte Restaurant Review blog. However, since I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel, this blog is temporarily a highlight reel of Tour de Kitchens, an event my roommate and I made up where our friends would have us over for dinner and we would tell about it! It's been awesome! Enjoy.

I'm back...and so is Queen's Feast
Sorry for being MIA for so long. I'll spare you the details but I'm back in Charlotte, rarely traveling and there are a ton of new restaurants to visit. Even better, next week is Queen's Feast where awesome restaurants offer 3 courses for $30. I highly recommend getting some friends together and making reservations. http://charlotterestaurantweek.com Check it out!
